Sorry We’re Closed

No Walls Gallery presents Sorry We’re Closed, the highly anticipated new solo show from Famous When Dead.

"'Sorry We’re Closed' blurs the boundaries of surrealism, abstract and pop…. cinematic icons with their heads on fire meet decaying spacemen and plantation villas set ablaze in a body of new original works and prints that represent almost a year in the making and encapsulates where Famous When Dead is as an artist today.."

Premiere of "Above and Below" - June 12, 2011

Tonight is the premiere of "Above and Below," a film I had a hand in producing. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director Scott Elias Felluss, the film's star JMI, my publicist Pati DeVries and me.

Nervous. But super excited mostly!

JMI - Above and Below

"No matter what, the show must go on! That's the attitude ModyWorks' up-and-coming singer-songwriter JMI assumes the day she decides to throw a self-promoted show in Bushwick, Brooklyn, on her March 27th, 2011 birthday. JMI: ABOVE AND BELOW charts the mayhem and captures the spirit of the New York underground music scene. In Scott Elias Felluss' short film, we get a glimpse into just what it takes to 'make it.'"
